So I've had a bunch of people ask me if anything happened so I thought I'd better do another post! Before I continue I should say right off the bat that nothing huge or tragic happened......we are all ok and good to go! Something we have been waiting forever for did happen though and I should have mentioned it in my previous post. So since we closed on our place on April 16th that was the day we officially become home owners and received our $8,000 grant....(part of Obama's way of getting first time buyers to buy a home) Our grant was awesome because we didn't have to pay any of it back, as long as we lived here for three years. If we sold it or lived in any other home during that three year time period we would have to pay it back. At one point we were trying to buy Kevin's Grandma's house and we were stuck because we didn't want to have to pay that back and blah blah blah.....it was pretty frustrating. It all ended up working out the way it was supposed to, but honestly we have kind of felt trapped knowing that under no circumstances could we leave unless we forked over that 8 grand.
So on April 16th that burden was lifted and we now have the freedom we've been waiting for! So now if someone does give us an offer (didn't happen on Monday unfortunately) we can move on it as fast as we want! So I guess that counts as something exciting?!? We did go and check out some ipads (I did almost buy one) but I still just can't decide if that's what I want......I guess that would have been cool and a pretty big deal. Dang! Maybe I should have bought one ;)
Oh and I guess another fun thing happened......we lowered our price! That's right! You can now live in this beautiful Townhome for only 127,000! Yes you heard me right....127,000! (did you like my advertising voice there?!?) Kevin talked with our agent and we all felt like that was a good idea so ya.....there you go!
Sorry if my news was a little anticlimactic for you. I'm just glad nothing horrible happened :) Onward we go! Oh and since I'm on here.....here are some pics I took in the last few days!
Sam and Clara holding hands after a fun date at the McDonald's Playplace :)
Sam loving the new Library!
Sam loving the giant bird even more....(I think he may have a fetish with people dressed up as animals....I didn't get any pics of the other two characters he attacked with hugs)
Me dressed up for our ward's Where's Waldo night.....(in person it looked way more real!)
My hiding spot....at the kids play area at City Creek. I overheard two teenage girls talking about me. This is what I heard as they were walking away -"Whoa......did you see that girl?" "Ya I did..." "Wow she was so huge!" "Ya seriously huge!"- haha! It was fun acting prego. Made me miss it just a teeny tiny bit ;)

April 16th
Today marks a very emotional day for me. April 16th, otherwise known as dooms day, has been a special date for the past four years.
Four years ago today I was in my last final at the ballet department. It was towards the end of the final because I was doing 32 fuettes to the left and on my second to last fuette my back went out and all my dreams came crashing and spiraling down.........ok so maybe it wasn't that dramatic, but my back was sprained and they told me I couldn't dance for a year. It was a pretty awful day......I knew that my body was giving up on me and I was trying my hardest just to make it through that last semester so I could get that blasted degree I had worked so hard for. Luckily they didn't count anything against me and I passed and it all worked out....(maybe the ambulance that came and took my battered body out of the studio helped boost my grade up a little too).....but still I always knew I would never forget the date April 16th.
Fast forward exactly one year later. Kevin and I closed on our Townhome. We couldn't have been happier! It was a pretty rocky journey in buying our place so that day really was a celebration for us. I remember how weird it was to look back and remember how devastated and heart broken I was and then just one year later life couldn't be any more glorious or happy! We bought our first home :)
The next year I was pregnant with Sam and had a doctors appointment that day. It was the first one that Kevin could come with me and we were the last appointment of the day. Everything looked good and at the end of it my doctor asked if we wanted to go and take a peek and see if we could tell what we were having. Of course we said yes and he started the ultrasound and right away it was pretty clear that we were having a boy!!! It was so incredible! We didn't expect to find out that soon and it was one of the happiest moments of my life :)
Ok, so then last year Kevin woke up and had a strong feeling that we needed to get rid of our truck. It was kind of out of the blue. We loved this truck. It was where we had our first kiss, where Kevin's million drum sets could fit, it took us on all our road trips we'd taken together including our honeymoon to Santa Jorge :) At two different occasions though, both of the front wheels fell off (luckily both times he was driving in a parking lot and not on the freeway) so I guess it really was time to get rid of that death trap. We went right away to the car store (hmmmm I can't remember what those places are called......car store it is!) and traded in our truck and left with a brand spanking new Versa! It was exciting to have a new car and leave all our anxieties and fears about the Tacoma behind......I really would worry every night that Kevin wouldn't make it back home to me. So ya, yet another big event took place on April 16th!
(Still to this day I pray for whoever bought that car and hope they are still alive!!! If you are reading this, please know that I am truly deeply sorry!)
That puts us up to speed and brings us to today.......I've been a little nervous to tell you the truth. What big event will happen today? Will I win a free ipad? Will I bump into Ramin Karimloo on the street and burst into song? Will I come across more girl scout cookies??? Ya probably nothing will happen, but as you can see my history does prove otherwise ;) I woke up hoping that maybe we would get an offer on our place. That would definitely be huge and the best thing ever! Nothing like that has happened yet, but there are still 9 more hrs left of the day so you never know ;) We will just have to wait and see. I'll let you know if my April 16th streak continues.....at this point I'm kinda rooting for more girl scout cookies...... ;)
As for you, keep spreading the word to your family and friends about our place. We would really appreciate all the help and prayers we can get. Means a lot. Thanks :) Well until next time...........happy blogging and happy April 16th :)

Easter!
What an amazing Easter we had this year! It all exceeded my expectations and honestly kept getting better and better ;) So much happened so I'll give you a little run down of what went on......
~Friday night me and Kevin's sister Michelle dyed a ton of Easter eggs. It was so much fun! We had some mad skills. I love the crayon that you can write secret messages on the eggs with......reminded me of dying eggs with my family and sneaking "Clayton stinks!" on a few eggs.....he he he :)
~ Saturday morning we went over to Evergreen's big Easter Egg hunt for the first time and Sam found six eggs! He actually got into it and it was so much fun seeing him so excited. The best part was when a giant guy in an Easter Bunny costume was walking around and Sam went right up to him and grabbed his legs and hugged him! He wouldn't let go! He is such a sweetie :)
~Then we went to Dans and got a bunch of donuts (Kevin made me pick them out......I about had a heart attack......never knew making decisions about donuts would be so challenging for me....they all looked so good!) We took them over to Kevin's parents and had a party! It turned out that Kevin's brother's kids missed their egg hunt so we put together an impromptu hunt and it was AWESOME. Some of the eggs had money in them! MONEY!!! (unfortunately Sam did not find any of these eggs.....we will prep him for next year) But we all sat afterwards and ate candy on the lawn and had a great time together as a family. Cute Wendy wants to make this a new tradition! Oh how I love traditions ;)
~Then all of us girls went shopping for Sheri's birthday and I went on my hunt for my skinny jean colored crops. I'll tell you it was not looking good for me......I went into every store frantically asking if they had any and all of them said they were sold out. I totally gave up and was pretty grumpy, but my awesome sis-in-law Angie made me look in JC Penny where I found these bad boys!!!!! BAM! (yes I took this picture in the dressing room.....I sent it to Kevin to ask if I could pull them off.....he never replied so I took a risk and got them anyways!)
~I spent the rest of the night with Michelle while Kevin worked and it was great. She is so awesome. I just love her to death! So glad we are so close......she's the best!
~Sunday came and Kevin had to speak in Church. I'm not sure how to tell you how amazing he was.....it was a farewell so it was packed all the way to the back and he didn't seem nervous at all! My cute friend Lisa took Sam for me so I could listen (Sam kept trying to run up to Kevin the second he started to speak) and throughout his entire talk I was grinning like some love sick idiot! He is just so great. He is so witty and smart and confident and powerful and I love him so much :) What a strong spirit he brought on such a special day. Wow. Ya.......I still don't even know what to say. Gah! Love him! ;)
~ Then finally we had my family's big annual Easter party and it was wonderful. It always starts with a big egg hunt and then we eat and chat and eat and laugh and eat some more. I love my family so much and it's so much fun watching them grow and expand. I love that we've kept up all our traditions for this long. It is so special!
~Sounds pretty great huh?!? Doesn't get much better then that! Oh wait....it totally does! I almost forgot.....so on top of all of that, a random girl was on the street with a horse and gave me and Sam a ride around the block! How cool is that??? Crazy! AND.....I finally got my girl scout cookies!!! I've been looking for some for years! Those blasted girl scouts totally hide from me (I was beginning to think there was a secret covert operation going on.....) So ya, I got a box of thin mints and tagalongs.....oh my sweet sweet tagalongs ;) So good......and now they are so gone :(
Amazing weekend. I love being apart of my family where we keep all our traditions going and being apart of the Davis family where we are forming our own new traditions. I am one lucky girl :)
Here are the limited pics we took!
So stink'n CUTE!!!
Hunting with daddy!
We were both so happy and having so much fun, but needed a quick hug :)
So excited to have his eggs!
Sam on his way to Church.....he always has to have his practice pad and sticks to play with in the car ;) It's too bad you can't see his cute Easter outfit in this pic. Oh and on an unrelated note, does anyone know how to survive living with two drummers??? Anyone?!? ;)
And for fun here are these two.....sometimes it's fun to be nostalgic :)

Bothered!!!
Do you ever get really bothered by certain things? You know things that really aren't a big deal but still irk you just the same? Well, lately I have and they've been building up so I've decided to use this blog as a way to clear my head and let off some steam. So with that said here I go! Things that bother me.........(in no particular order)
Pillsbury biscuits bother me.
-Every time I have to unwrap that evil cylinder and wait for it to decide when it wants to explode and pop open makes me so mad! I hate it. It is never predictable and I get all flustered and nervous every time. I feel like it controls me when shouldn't it be the other way around??? There has to be a more simple way to get those dang biscuits out of that dumb container then having it burst open like that. Why haven't they come up something? Anything? Why??? Gah.......absolutely horrible!
Leaf blowers bother me.
-It feels like everyday during Sam's nap time a sweet man turns on his leaf blower to clean up our courtyard and it ALWAYS wakes up Sam. (This leaf blower sounds like a vacuum on steroids) You would think it would only take a few minutes to blow these leaves away (leaves which don't even exist because it is March) but no it is an hour plus ordeal. It takes all my restraint not to run and lash out all my anger on this poor man. If I ever find myself alone with that leaf blower though I can't make any promises of what I will or wont do.....
My back bothers me.
-So I've had no problems with my back for years now and just when I am about to dance again for the first time it totally starts acting up again just like it did before it totally gave out on me. I've been so excited to perform in this little show and now I feel terrified all over again. I just want to do my best and give it my all :) I hate feeling old. I hope it will hold up and all will go well!
Cold texting bothers me.
-Ok so let me explain....when I send out a text it usually looks something like this.....-Hey! Are you coming tonight? Let me know :) - Pretty upbeat and friendly right? So what am I to think when I get a response like this......-No. We are busy. - Super scary huh?!? I'm sorry but I hate periods. They just seem so cold. How hard is it to do an exclamation point instead? You are still hitting a button so you might as well hit a happy one right?!? Kevin used to be this way and now his texts are full of smiley faces and exclamation points and it is wonderful. If he can change so can you! Give it a try.....be happy! (Now I'm sure all of you are wondering if it is you that I am talking about and if you have to ask yourself that question then it definitely is not you!!! Please text me the same way you always have been! I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of extremely happy texts now....hehe!)
And lastly, Nightmares bother me.
-I feel like every dream I have lately is a nightmare. They are so scary and they almost always include Sam and I wish I could stop them. Some people can control their dreams. I am not one of those people. I know that I live life very cautiously and that I have a lot of......hmmm what is the right word I am looking for.........stress? Fears? Anxieties? Well anyways, I do and I guess my subconscious is pretty weak to those. Hopefully they will stop soon and I can dream about pixystix and flying and doing a million pirouettes perfectly! Oh and maybe I should stop reading The Hunger Games before I go to bed ;) Lol.
PHEW! Man do I feel better! It feels good getting that all off of my chest. Sorry for the crazy ranting....I am generally a happy and carefree person ;) It's a beautiful day outside and there are no leaf blowers within an ears reach so I guess that's something worth celebrating!!!
