Just thought I would share some funny moments we captured on camera. As you will see, Sam loves to play and have fun and listen to mommy make monkey/dolphin noises! haha! Love this little guy ;) Enjoy!!!

April Fools and April News!
The first day of April is one of my most favorite days.....April Fools. I have a lot of good memories from past years. Cellophane on the toilet, rubber band on the sink hose, a broken leg, getting evicted from our apartment, being pregnant, being pregnant with twins..... the list goes on and on. How can I say this best..... I LOVE PRANKS!!! My only trouble is that I usually ruin them because I can't hold in my laughter in time for the prank to take place! But this year I did especially well :)
Kevin is scared of one thing and one thing only......snakes. So naturally this is the direction I wanted to go. I "borrowed" a fake snake from my parents and kept it hidden in my car until the perfect moment would arise. Kevin left to go on a run and I knew this was my opportunity. I grabbed the snake and put it in his drawer knowing that when he got back he would take a shower and go straight for that drawer. Needless to say my plan went just like that ;) He came home and I was rocking Sam in his room. I was giggling all through his shower and when he got out I held my breath and kept my head down. He went straight for the drawer!!! I heard him open it and immediately I heard a "OH MY GOSH" and two loud thuds. The first thud was him slamming the door shut and the second was him flying backward and landing on his back! At this point I was crying with laughter and Sam was pretty smiley too :) Kevin was not amused at all and I could tell he was trying really hard not to punch anything! He kept pacing around trying to calm down and I felt bad, but I couldn't stop the tears from pouring out!!! (you should know that right now as I am writing this I am laughing uncontrollably just reliving this moment) It was priceless! Don't worry, he eventually came around and laughed it off too! After all this I decided not go through with the other prank I had in mind for him......lotion on the toilet seat.....hehe :)

I still wanted to pull a prank on some of my friends and family, but I knew they would know it was an April fools joke so I decided to invent "Belated April Fools" and wait a few days. I sent this picture out on my phone and I tricked everyone who got it! So no I don't really have bangs!
What a fun time of year! We had Sam's 6 month appointment and here are his new numbers.
-Height- 25 1/2 inches-25th percentile
-Weight- 15 lbs 9 ounces-10th percentile
-head circumference- 25th percentile
So it looks like he is a tiny guy, but I swear that by looking at him you wouldn't think so! I am going to start feeding him solids everyday now and try to get his weight up a bit. He is so wonderful. I love his little personality and the sweet spirit he brings into our home. My favorite moment of our appointment was when the Doctor was trying to look in his ears and eyes with the flashlight and Sam kept grabbing it from him! He sure does love flashlights and we sure do love him ♥

Change, change, and more change!

It seems like you have life all figured out when suddenly BAM! It all changes! Sometimes it is for the worse and sometimes for the better. I am happy to say that all of our change is for the better :)
First, Sam is now six months old! Can you believe it? I can't! He is growing so fast and is so smart and so clever. He is rolling over, laughing, playing with toys, eating baby food, and (knock on wood) sleeping for hours at a time! Woohoo! I don't think we could possibly love this little guy any more than we already do! He is SO busy and is always up to something. I'm so happy to be in this stage of life with him :)
Second........this one is huge.........Kevin got a new job! It is his dream job and I am so excited for him. No one deserves it more than he does. He works so hard. The company is called Close To My Heart and he will be working as a part of their user interaction design team. I am SO happy that he has found a field of work that encompasses his psychology degree as well as his creative/funky meticulous side. The job is in Pleasant Grove so we are excited to look at houses closer to that area.
Thirdly..........Kevin got accepted to grad school! Yeah! He will be going to Denver University and they offered him a half off tuition scholarship! Woopedeedoo! Now before I get ahead of myself I know what most of you must be thinking....Denver?!? Don't worry, we aren't moving. They offer extension programs and since his degree is in web design he can do most of it online. Phew! We are staying right here :) We both feel really good about this school and Kevin is super excited to get started this summer.
So that's it. Our life is set! Haha :) Those of you who know me know that I usually hate change and don't deal with it well, but so far I feel really good about everything. Nothing new has really happened to me so maybe that's why I am doing so well!
"Next to the bestowal of life itself, the right to direct that life is God's greatest gift to man." I am so grateful that we can make our own choices and decide which direction we want our lives to go and there is nothing better when it all seems to fit together perfectly.

I don't get it!
Ok so this post is for all girls out there.....I need your advice! I am going crazy! How much conditioner do you use in the shower? No matter how much or how little I use my hair is so dry and static-y. I feel like my finger is jammed into a socket all the time! Does anyone have experience with this? What should I do? Are you supposed to use a ton of conditioner to help or this the complete opposite of what you should do? I am lost. Also, I am seriously worried about how much hair I shed everyday. Poor Kevin and Sam always have my hair stuck to them. I swear at this rate I am going to be bald soon! Is there anything I can do about this too? I'm just so tired of all this. Let me know if you have any advice :) Thanks!

4 Months Old!!!

It's crazy to believe that Sam is already 4 months old! We took him to his appointment and here are the results!!!
-weight- 14 lbs 10 ounces (45th percentile)
-height- 25 inches (55 percentile)
-head measures at the 60th percentile (hehe...)
The Doctor says that he looks healthy and happy in every way and we couldn't be happier! I thought Sam was a big chunker, but he is right in the middle and growing just like he should. Phew! Our Doctor was really surprised and told us that Sam was ahead of schedule as far as stranger anxiety goes. He gets really nervous when he can't see mom and is around people he doesn't know. I guess that he just loves me soooo much! haha! Doesn't get much better than that :) Along with all these new changes Sam has been able to roll over and start rice cereal. Ok so I have been waiting months for this and I bought tons of fun brightly colored spoons to get us all excited. We have been practicing everyday how to eat with a spoon and finally the day came that we could try rice cereal for the first time! I was so excited and I overheard Kevin giving Sam a little pep talk that he needs to be a good boy and enjoy this because mommy is so excited........we mixed it all up and I got a nice big bite ready for him and................Waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!

It was a no go! I repeat a NO GO! He was not happy about having that slimy goop in his mouth. I've tried everyday since and he seems to hate it even more with each try! I can't help but laugh each time we try it.....this stuff really looks and smells so nasty and seeing it all in his mouth and over his face just makes me feel so bad for trying to make him eat it. Poor little guy! Well I guess I can only keep trying and hope that this transition to solid food wont be too traumatic for all of us!

A Special Day

This last Sunday was a very special one. We blessed our little Sam and it was such a perfect day :) He looked so sharp in his little outfit. I think he knew that it was his big day and that he was looking good! We woke up that morning to snow, snow, and more snow! We felt like it was very symbolic for Sam and his blessing. We were amazed at all the family and friends who traveled so far in the scary weather to come and support us. I was pretty nervous because Sam was wide awake that morning and during the meeting.......I was hoping he would sleep through it all so he wouldn't cry.....but this was so much better. He was so alert and wide eyed, it made me think that he knew what was going on and didn't want to miss a second of it! Kevin and I were really nervous but he smiled at us the whole time before the blessing so we were able to calm down and really feel his sweet spirit. Ah! I love him so much!!! There is nothing better then feeling that warm love and being surrounded by my family. I feel so lucky to have Kevin and Sam and the amazing knowledge of the gospel in my life. It is so wonderful to know that I am in the right place doing exactly what I should be doing right now. There's no greater peace than that :) I'm so grateful for my little family ♥
